Elisa Cozzini

 

 

 

began her musical studies at Conservatorio “Luigi Cherubini” of Florence, where she graduated in 1990. Later she studied in Lugano at Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana where she got a Master of Arts in Music Performance.

She attended annual courses with Peter-Lukas Graf in Biella and Michele Marasco in Florence, as many master classes with Aurèle Nicolet, Patrick Gallois, Emmanuel Pahud.

In the meantime she completed her orchestral and chamber music training in Scuola di Musica di Fiesole (Orchestra Giovanile Italiana) and in Rome (Accademia di Santa Cecilia).

She passed many auditions and she works with various orchestras, in Italy and abroad: Orchestra della Toscana, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana (Switzerland), Teatro Regio di Torino, Orchestra dell'Opera di Roma, I Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Tiroler Festspiel Orchester (Austria)...During her orchestral works, she has worked and she works with many conductors and soloists such as: Rostropovitch, Maazel, Muti, Prêtre, Masur, Dutoit, Kuhn, Penderecki, Metha, Lortie, Domingo, Gustavson, Tate, Temirkanov, Dindo, Brunello and many others.

Sure to have an ancient heart, Elisa has decided to follow it and try to play also baroque flute: she studied transverse flute with Marcello Gatti whom she graduated in Conservatorio “Arrigo Pedrollo” of Vicenza in Baroque and Classical Flute.

She collaborates with the following ensembles on periodical instruments: Ensemble Zefiro, Epoca Barocca, Le Musiche Nove, Modo Antiquo, Musica Saecolorum, Musica e Drama.

She has cultivated since her childwood a strong interest in literature and history and she has a Master Degree in History of Music (Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia, Università di Firenze).
